A lost book from my children's childhood! The little owl is *SO* cute that the memory of his fuzzy little head and round belly lingers years after the book disappeared, and I finally tracked it down online. The story is that Little Owl's teddy is lost, and his mother finds a replacement identical in every detail -- except the new teddy is pink. Little Owl continues to grieve, because the new bear is just not Teddy. Then Teddy is found, in the clutches of a little girl owl who has already show more formed a passionate attachment to her "new" bear. But will she accept a swap? The story is oh so relatable although not such a classic as Dogger (same trope) and I read it to my kids over and over and over. So sad it went missing, and although there are many other books, they are just not the same... XD Yes indeed, very relatable story. show less
