This is a pretty good introduction to prayer for a new believer. If you have an established prayer life and wish to go deeper, the book really isn't designed for you. You could look at the last 2 weeks, as they point the way toward some deeper practices, and there is a small but good list of classic resources on prayer.

I liked this book...there some really good parts of it that made me want to shout "YES, EXACTLY!"

There were also sections of the book that just felt underwhelming...thus the three stars instead of five.

Over all, I think it is definitely worth reading!
The Psalms never cease speaking to our hearts and minds. May someone reading this ind life and hope. Essays based on Psalms 30, 34, 4, 11, 27, 10, 56, 137, 24, 127, and 23.
Above all else, pastors need fresh and frequent experiences of God's presence.. To be close to God: at the core, it means having an internal sense of harmony with what God wants me to do. Dangers and hazards to Ministry
