Two For Holding is the fourth stand-alone novel in the 425 Madison series. It follows the story of Porter, a famous hockey player and Savannah, a single mom who is a nurse. What I really liked about this book is how Porter tried to pursuit Savannah because it didn't make him seem creepy or stalker-ish and how much Savannah loved her son. She is the kind of mother that would do anything for him and I loved her for that. Savannah's son is a big hockey fan and after a series of incidents, the show more adults decide to date. They have their ups and downs and I do think that it was done realistically. We had two people who were trying to work things out and some factors that were trying to force them apart. The scene that brought them together again was emotional. The book gave me happy vibes and I liked it overall. I liked the author's writing and if I see one of her books again, I will certainly read it. I found this story to be well developed and I liked the dynamics between all the characters. show less
Two for Holding scores a winning goal in my book. Gordon sneaks her way into hearts with the single mom and the hockey star. With one look, both know their lives have changed forever, but with the odds stacked against their burgeoning romance, how do they make it to the playoffs of love? 5 stars.
