This book shows the ways we can celebrate our differences in society without being abelist, even from a young age. Sometimes children grow up around non-inclusivity and it affects how they act towards others who are different than them. This is a great book to show children that everyone can be united, even with our differences
This book would be best for primary grades. This book talks about being your own unique person. I would like to use this book in my classroom to talk about individuality, but I'm not sure that I would keep it in the classroom book rotation.
This book is about inclusion and learning to love diversity and value everyone for who they are. Children always trying to find something that is similar to them and having something that connected to their culture is important. Also value everyone differences especially in facial structure and hair. Love everyone because it is more unique to have people different than you than having everyone to be the same as you.
This book is appropriate for 2nd-3rd graders. I did not find any awards for this book.
