I picked this up on the recommendation of a fellow cat-manga reader on Litsy (we both love the Man and His Cat series). I have to admit I was a little weirded out by the idea of cat masseurs, but the manager and oh my goodness the trainee KITTENS are very cute. The part where the kittens fell asleep on someone's hands and they had to cancel their meeting made me laugh out loud.
This book definitely made me wish I could borrow someone's cat for a while. The series has only two other volumes, show more and I liked this one enough that I'll probably read those two as well. show less

I'm reviewing volumes 1-3 together, as there is very little distinction among them with respect to plot, characters and events. This series is just as advertised: a small group of business-minded cats offer massages to overworked and stressed humans in exchange for gourmet treats. Lots of kittens! Toe beans! Scritches! There aren't really any storylines or conflicts — it's just ridiculously and absurdly cute.
A man stumbles into a massage parlour run by cats. The cats are adorable.
A friend recommended this after I talked about reading Cat + Gamer. This volume is cute but there's even less plot and the translation/writing and art didn't completely work for me. However, if the premise appeals to you, don't let me dissuade you from giving it a try.

With this volume (as far as I know), the Cat Massage Therapy series has come to an end. It was a cute concept, but three volumes is probably about the right length. In this volume, the cats face some competition in the form of a dog massage therapy practice next door and branch out into acupuncture. The cats are cute and the humans are besotted as usual. This is a very quick series to read, with only three volumes, so as a library borrow it makes a nice little snack kind of read.
