While I am certainly a fan of Sam Kerr and her thrilling play for both Australia and Chelsea, I think I am in the wrong demographic for this book, given to me as a gift.
Ms Kerr tells of growing up in Fremantle, changing reluctantly from Aussie Rules to Football (soccer) at the age of eleven, and her meteoric rise to be one of the world's best players.
There are lots of photos and interviews with people who have played with her or coached her.
A very simple read, probably best placed in an show more upper-primary or lower-secondary school library.
Kudos to the ghost writer, Fiona Harris, for keeping Kerr's voice clear and consistent. Harris and Kerr have also collaborated on a series of children's books. show less
