How does a man find himself again when the past haunts him and he has lost himself in it? This is the struggle facing River Yates. As he wrestles with his past and his friends try to adapt to the ways their friend River has changed, he finds help in an unlikely place. But it won't be that simple, because River's past is completely behind him and an old nemesis will force him to make some difficult and life threatening choices.
"Run River Run" is a compelling story about the ghosts that haunt show more us and the struggles to overcome the past and the power of love to rescue us. It is a compelling read that is well written and has some wonderfully developed characters. They are a bit cliche, but still, the conflicts and struggles between them help keep the reader turning the pages. The plot is compelling enough to overcome the slight character deficiencies and Remer has enough familiarity with the locations and the settings to make it an interesting, as well as a quick, read. 3.5 stars. show less
