I am absolutely loving the BENNETT SECURITY romantic suspense series and Tanner and Faith’s friends to lovers romance was a favorite! Faith hasn’t had the easiest life. She grew up in a controlling family and got married too young to a loser guy (Jon) who dealt drugs and put her in danger. Faith escaped their bad marriage in Texas and has started over in California, where she and Tanner, a former SEAL have a cute “wingman” friendship. I LOVED the cute early scenes in the book where show more they were denying there was anything more there than friendship. Some of those early comedic dates had me in stitches. But things quickly heat up both between Tanner and Faith, and also for Faith’s troubles with her past, because creepy Jon just won’t leave her alone. I loved the suspense plotline in this one, with several awful people from Faith’s past stalking her and Tanner and several characters I loved from previous books in the series teaming up to help. This was a fast paced, STEAMY romance, that kept me breathlessly turning pages all the way to the nailbiter of an ending. Faith and Tanner wound up being one of my favorite couples, and I especially loved some of the great messages about PTSD in Tanner’s story line as well. I can’t wait for book five!

I absolutely devour every new book in Hannah Shield’s steamy romantic suspense series. Danica is the daughter of a billionaire and a philanthropist, which has made her and the rest of her family into the target of kidnappers. The book opens with a high-octane scene where we get a taste of what Danica’s protection detail will be up against. I really liked Danica from those very first scenes. She might be wealthy, but she’s also down to earth and likes to take charge. Noah is a former show more SEAL and has history with Danica and the rest of her family. I liked the way the backstories of both characters were woven together and as we learned more about their family histories, how this complicated things. Things quickly heated up for the two leads, in between multiple kidnapping attempts, and as things are revealed, let’s just say there are some dark secrets… loved this one! 5/5 stars. show less
I was so excited to see Lana and Max would be getting their own book after reading Aurora and Devon in book one of Bennett Security! Lana is the assistant DA and Max is Aurora’s older brother, who owns Bennett Security. They had history briefly ten years ago, but things ended in a complicated way, and now they have a distant friends relationship. I really loved Lana and the way her work as DA was featured in the book. Heather Barnes died in 1998 and it was Bennett Security who helped get show more the evidence needed to apprehend the wealthy young man accused of murdering her and finally bring a 20-year-old cold case to trial. The trial work was great and the pacing and developments of the case were top notch. There’s also a stalker plotline that was chilling. Max and Lana had chemistry ten years ago and still do now, but old hurts are holding Lana back, and it’s hard to blame her because while Max can be a great protector and always puts his family first, he also has a history of one-night stands and has never had a long-term relationship. Max won me over in the end however, and I loved the super romantic scene with him and Lana at the beach especially. And the steamy moments in this one are HOT so be sure to read this book with a glass of lemonade nearby, whew! This is a great romance that is part military romance, part legal thriller, and just a great read! I’m so excited for book three!

I loved how these two had some serious attraction going on when they first met but the fact they are a little like oil and water with her being a reporter and he being the sheriff made for some good tension. Then after what Genevieve she is stuck with him which at times is hilarious and serious sparks while the danger nips at their heels making this a great suspense with the perfect slow burn.
