Eleven essays on science fiction from a mix of writers and academics dating from the 60s through mid 70s. The ones by Kingsley Amis and Susan Sontag stand out. The last entry by John Huntington on how science fiction can be seen as a conservative genre is quite interesting. A couple essays just didn't do anything for me, Holquist's on how utopias are a type of game being one I found particularly boring.
