has a lot of good information but it feels like the author's perspective focuses on the wrong thing. she's very insistent on "there weren't any long lasting laws preventing the use of yiddish" which is true, but generally ignores the impact of israeli culture and its negative view of the use of yiddish. she does touch on those things, but seems to think that yiddish wasn't really that oppressed because it wasn't outright banned.
still, overall, i like the history given. it's very informative show more to an outsider who has no experience with either hebrew or yiddish in israel/palestine show less
