This story begins with Jessica, a diabetic that has traveled to Alaska with her two month boyfriend, Steve and his friends. They end up at a bar where Jessica isn’t feeling well from camping for the past week and there she meets Flint. Flint sees her despair and after having words with Steve, he offers to take her where she needs to go. The evening ends up being a passion filled night for Jessica with Flint. There’s a bonding there she is unaware of but when Flint finds her, there is no show more going back to the normal life she had before. She moves to Alaska with Flint, and there’s where their story begins. This was a cute story for me and I’d enjoy reading more from this author. show less
I have to be honest to say this book was not my cup of tea. However, there is a story there it's just not written the way I can appreciate it maybe? There's no chapters. So that kind of threw me off. It's just one novella drawn out in separate paragraphs and a couple breaks.

Another thing that I found kind of off was the fact that this is supposed to be about a woman who's from Seattle Washington. That is the United States of america. There were a couple of slang words that were used during show more the book that didn't make sense for an American.

I have to wonder if maybe the author is not american? Or has another nationality and their slang is what was shining through?

I gave it two stars because it was a recommendation from a good friend of mine and also like I said there is a base story there that was, or could you considered, a good story but it just wasn't delivered in the right way.

Again, that's just my opinion.
