Let’s follow the polar bears. Inside the den, waiting, waiting; finally, there are polar bear twins for Mother Polar Bear to feed and cuddle. At eight weeks or so, their eyes open; the twins can stand and they can walk on all four legs. It’s time to explore!

What will the polar bear twins discover?

The Care Bear cousins have a quandary – they don’t know what to play next. Suddenly, Playful Heart Monkey gets a brilliant idea – he hides from the cousins and leaves a series of mysterious clues to lead to his location. I absolutely loved watching Care Bears as a small child. Somehow, though, the appeal of the Care Bears doesn’t quite translate to books. This is an okay book, but no where near as interesting as the animated counterparts. It’s quite possible though that very young show more readers may be delighted by this book, although I’m not sure if they’ll recognize the characters. show less
This was an informative book about the lifespan of a pumpkin starting from seed to the pumpkin itself. This book would be great for primary students and can be used to teach a fun lesson science lesson, especially around Halloween. The photographs were amazing, and the vocabulary was informative and easy for children to understand. Looking forward to using this in my future classroom.
HANGING OUT WITH MOM is about a young boy who thoroughly enjoys hanging out with his mother. This is a slice of life where a mother and son go to the park, and spend an evening together playing, running, and laughing together. The illustrations are very detailed and realistic through the use of watercolors. The author did an okay job of rhyming on every page, but it is very hard in literature to rhyme and make it original, and this author didn’t do an amazing job at creating something show more worth remembering, but the illustrator made it memorable by the illustrations he created. This is a book which was created for young children, ages five to seven, and it would definitely be suitable for them to read. This is a story which could be fun for a mother figure and child to read together as a good bonding experience. It is a very enjoyable read for young readers. show less
