It is true that the Authors have gathered and incredible collection of Salmon Flies. The accompanying descriptions are very informative. This could have been the best book of its kind but for the color plates. The base background color is just the right shade that almost are small details that are yellow or white fade into the background. At the least, it makes it look like items from the flies are missing. This alone makes it difficult to follow the descriptions and this hurts the book.
