2020 movie #164. 1951. After beating one too many suspects, tough NYC cop (Ryan) is sent upstate to help in a small town murder investigation where he finds redemption and love in the blind sister of the suspect (Lupino). Pretty good with an unusually happy ending for a noir.

I won this book from the Member Giveaways here on Library Thing. I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of The Shack by William Paul Young. It is the story of a uncaring, mean woman who is dying and is given the chance to redeem herself with her estranged husband and her disabled son. This book looks back upon her life and all the wrongs she has done to those close to her, and her chance to change things for the better. Very interesting book!
