OK this is a tour de force about us, yet we don't know it yet. You've got to read this it will change your view of yourself and your place in US society right now, and the world later. Solid solid social science and lots of ideas about how to use it. You will be empowered by this, and will walk proudly in the face of the crushing corporate thing (and misguided national narrative) we all have to put up with (for now!). Become the change you are! We have the potential just like our show more grandparents promised, and like no other time in history, but could never imagine as real. show less
Excellent synopsis regarding a segment of the population that is impacting America in numerous ways. The Cultural Creatives tend to be more spiritual and ecologically concerned, and are very committed to assisting others, but they are rather invisible when it comes to their overall impact as a group. This was published in 2000, and since then it appears the CC's are gaining momentum, slowly but surely.
In this book there are seeds for growth for creating and sustaining intimacy and love in a new way; for a new understanding of sexuality; for new vision of family; a family of choice in a community of love.
Are you a cultural creative? This is one of many interesting questions posed by this book. Focusing on the distinct values and lifestyles of a subset of the population, I felt like they were profiling my life.
