This book not only has fun experiments in it, but also gives a lot of information about plants. All information is told clearly and directly in very short paragraphs, and each one has a color photograph that illustrates it. There are also many photographs of children doing activities with plants. There is an table of contents, a glossary, and an index. My two favorite experiments were making a rainforest bottle-garden and sprouting seeds. The only issue I had with this book is that many of show more the experiments required the child to add plants from a nearby lake or pond, and most of my students don't live anywhere near one--especially one they can take plants from.
