Ages 5-9. A young girl deals with body shaming, comes to terms with her body and decides to make some healthy changes. This book has some merit but is a bit outdated. Shows that each person is responsible for making their own happiness and not to be discouraged by others.
Perfect for Kindergarten to third grade that talks about self esteem. A book on a girl was being teased for being overweight. Enforces body positivity.
This book is a cute book about a little girl who is unhappy about her weight plus the the others where saying and doing to her. But she gains more control and realizes that there are pluses to exercise and healthy eating habits.
“Don’t Call Me Fatso,” is a story about a little girl who is very self-conscious about her weight. She is bigger than all her class mates, so they make fun of her for it. Determined not to let this get her down she changes her eating habits and begins to exercise more and before you know it, she’s living a healthier lifestyle! The illustrations for this book are very realistic and flow very nicely with the text of the story. I would recommend this book to an older audience, ages show more 5-8.
