Summary:
This graphic novel is based on William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The book starts out with a list of the characters. There are fairies sent to help but causes all kinds of mischief. After Hermia refuses to marry Demetrius her father says she will face death if she does not agree. So she runs away into the forest. During the course of the story people fall asleep in the forest where the fairies shake a flower dust on them to make them fall in love with the first show more person they see. This creates a bunch of chaos.
Personal Reaction:
I liked this story I would much rather read Shakespeare in the form of a graphic novel rather than just the play. Really liked the pictures to refer to when reading the story.
Classroom Extension:
1. Have the students discuss which one they liked better and why. The play or the graphic novel.
2. The students could act out their favorite scene. show less

I enjoyed the full story more than this graphic novel version. It felt like parts in this were left out or skipped over, which I don't like. The artwork was nice though.
