Definitely offers a distinctive take on the subject. Whereas other casebooks are full of cases, this one is less so. Instead of drilling on how the current (but rapidly changing) law came to take the form that it does, this text takes the large, "meta" view by showing the questions that must be asked. That makes it particularly appropriate for classes full of students who want to be on the bleeding edge of this topic, rather than plod through the old precedents.

A strange book. I learned a lot about Jefferson's personality. And I feel like I have a better grip on what's up with internet architecture now that I've taken in all the cute anecdotal history. But the two stories only really intersect in an interesting way at a few points in the book.

This is worth your time if you want to get up to date on internet law and infrastructure debates in a light way. Feel free to skim sections that don't look like they'll pay off.
