A concisely written but not overly detailed account of Smythe's climbs. Calvert gives you the benefit of his astute observations, plus some background on some of the controversies that surrounded Smythe. For those that have an interest in the subject matter, this is an excellent book; fortunate for me as I was obliged to pay a high price for my copy.
