Elizabeth J. Webber has worked in the field of education for over thirty years. Her experiences in education include classroom teacher, program developer, and curriculum and staff development specialist.
She received a BA in Education from the University of Washington, where she also conducted her graduate studies. During her twenty-five years with the Lake Washington School District (Redmond, WA) she taught students of all ages. As a curriculum and staff development specialist, Ms. Webber trained teachers K-12 in instructional and classroom management skills. She currently consults teachers in her specialty area of classroom management.
In 1980 she published, Mop-Up Activities, a collection of educational activities and strategies for teachers and parents to use with students for purposes of aiding retention and making the best possible use of time. It is in its second printing. Her latest book, S.M.A.R.T. Management for Teaching and Learning, shares behaviors that work and strategies that matter to create a positive classroom environment. The final section is designed to keep teachers at the top of their profession.
Elizabeth lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband, Dr. Gregory Hanson. They enjoy kayaking and traveling with a purpose having just returned from a medical dental mission to Guatemala.
