Another charming book by Louise; not only does one respect her experience in the garden, but it's hard not to catch her enthusiasm for the 'tender tufts' (baby plants) she writes so sentimentally about.
A wonderful book, not only loaded with good gardening advice but full of feeling --also full of charming and outdated anthropomorphisms! (one doesn't mind too much, however)
Useful gardening methods and information about planting Aromatics, including details about beekeeping, bees, and honey-flowers. Wonderful quotes from antiquity and classical times.
