Legendary hockey player, Hall-of-Famer, and six time Stanley Cup Champion tells an inspiring story about leadership and teamwork, focusing on his life experiences both on and off the ice. He speaks candidly about growing up in a tight knit "hockey family" where his father was a teacher, a professional hockey player and a coach. He describes the close friendships that he developed with teammates Wayne Gretzky, Paul Coffey, Kevin Lowe and Glenn Anderson and chronicles the ups and downs of a show more long, successful and legendary career. But it's his insights about developing leadership, overcoming challenges, learning from mistakes and maintaining integrity that were the most striking to me. This book is more than a biography about a famous hockey player. It's about the relationships he built along the way and, as the book jacket says, "the deep love and gratitude that comes from a life shared with others." It's extremely well written and includes wonderful photos. A must for all hockey fans, and anyone interested in issues relating to leadership. show less
