Sydney Carter

This appeared in the Daily Telegraph when Carter died in March 2004: when asked what he believed in, Carter had said: "Nothing fixed or final. All the while I travel a miracle. I doubt, and yet I walk on water". Amen to that!
And I love the graffiti-like illustrations in this book. My copy is falling apart, but treasured.

This is one of my favorite songs. The folk group at church use to play and sing this song for the contemporary mass. In this book the song lyrics are accompanied by stories of Jesus retold from the Bible. Wonderful illustrations on each page bring the stories to life. The music score is on one of the last pages.
