No smoking gun, naturally, but in its place, a methodical and carefully researched and reasoned argument for the case that our 16th president was almost certainly homosexual who, like so many men, merely married a woman because he was expected to, given as well his interest in a career in politics. A tour-de-force!
Really interesting biography. I'm not sure I was that convinced by all his evidence (Lincoln was tall! Tall men hit puberty early! Men who hit puberty early are gay! QED! -- Uh, no.), but I'm delighted this book was written and published.
An explanation of the different forms and characteristics of homosexuality. Perhaps more fascinating in 1975 than it is now, this work covers a wide range of topics.
