This was my favorite book when I was young. I loved how the adults who read it to me would have to imitate a Scottish accent for some of the characters. The cast was brilliant! I loved the image of a somewhat cheeky robot fighting the Loch Ness Monster for Excalibur so it can go fight demons! I spent most of my elementary years trying to read up on King Arthur, Merlin, and anything with brownies, or other assorted beasties. McGowen is probably the reason that I continue to play D&D well into show more my adulthood. If ever accidentally have kids of my own I will have to hunt down a copy of this one. show less
What a beautiful collection of illustration and myths!! Induced dreams of big spiders.
Traces the history of the French Revolution from the storming of the Bastille through the rise of Napoleon, highlighting the influence of revolutionary leader, Maximilien Robespierre, from his early life through his involvement in the Reign of Terror.
