The Norton Anthology of World Literature, Volume F: The Twentieth Century (Second Edition) by Sarah N. Lawall
Pieces I've read from this anthology (for a college world literature class and on my own time):
Dora - Sigmund Freud (excerpts),
A Room of One's Own - Virginia Woolf (exceprts),
Metamorphasis - Frank Kafke,
The Second Coming - William Butler Yeats,
The Good Woman of Setzuan - Bertolt Brecht,
Zaabalawi - Naguib Mahfouz,
Pedro Paramo- Juan Rulfo,
The Old Chief Mshlanga - Doris Lessing,
In Camera - Nawal El Saadawi,
Walker Brothers Cowboy - Alice Munro,
Death and the King's Horseman - Wole Soyinka
In show more Camera is an amazing short story and my favorite piece from the anthology. Doris Lessing and Juan Rulfo's works are also quite exceptional. However, Freud's Dora made me so angry that I kept continually throwing it across the room in disgust. show less

When I was studying English for undergrad, I had to purchase an excessive number of copies of literature textbooks and anthologies. This was one of them, which will most likely never be used again, but considering it cost me as much as it did, it'll stick around for a bit longer.
