Pooh has some old honey pots to dispose of but doesn't want them to go to waste. So he wanders the Hundred-Acre Wood and finds creative ways to recycle them as solutions to his friends' various needs.
Cute and clever.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every show more day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Ronne Randall's My Hanukkah Book illustrated by Tom Cooke is a short board book for children explaining in simple terms what to expect during Hanukkah. Overall a very cute title but neglected to mention the why and instead focused on the who, what, where, and when.
My Hanukkah Book is beyond cute and explains Hanukkah in a way that's easy for a child to comprehend from a social and traditional standpoint. The illustrations are adorable and endearing; and the verbiage used is easy to show more understand.
The book is listed for ages 0-2 but I believe it needs to be aged up. Some of the words are a bit longer and harder for smaller children to understand, if at all, and should be recommended for ages 3-6 where the information would be better used and understood. The book also neglects to mention why they're celebrating Hanukkah, instead focusing on who'll be there, what everyone is doing, where it takes place, and when. show less

Hmm, well this seems a bit basic compared to the phantasmagoria that is Dr Seuss or whatever, regular descriptions of a regular day at the park with nothing freaky whatsoever about them, but then you think "they are little kids and we are putting language in everyday situations to aid learning," but THEN you think "that will happen without books language is a social interaction" but THEN THEN you think "well but talk about freaky and phantasmagoric, they are little kids, EVERYTHING is freaky show more and phantasmagoric, a day at the park as much as the brown barbaloots and chicks with bricks," and that's a pretty good answer really. show less
Beautifully illustrated folk stories from different cultures. Written in simple language, but not too banal for older readers.
