Dr Ruth Rae is an historian and author who has lived in Tamworth for more than twenty years. She studied politics at university and has a thorough knowledge of rural and regional policy issues. Dr Rae has written a number of books, including histories of Australian nurses in the First World War.

A very pretty book with very pretty, mixed-media projects. The author does a good job of explaining things with step-by-step instructions, and I like how much of her heart shows through the projects. There are a lot of great techniques presented in the book that can be added to the reader's own skillset.
