Kids' Big Questions about Heaven, the Bible, and Other Really Important Stuff: 101 Things You Want to Know by Sandy Silverthorne
I think this is a fantastic book for children who questions about Heaven, that parents or grown-ups are not too sure how to answer themselves. I appreciate how it includes all sorts of questions children may think to ask or just be confused about, with answers that will not make them upset or nervous. I enjoyed reading this book, as I work with children and it has helped me with wording answers for them, even if they are not about Heaven or religion.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. When my son was a kid, he loved jokes, and he loved to share them. While not very successful at writing his own, he would make us chuckle, groan, and roll our eyes with jokes he read in books and magazines. He would have loved Crack Yourself Up Jokes for Kids. This book is filled with hundreds of jokes, riddles, knock-knocks, one-liners, and some pretty funny lists. And though I had years of my son sharing, most of them were new to me. Perfect for a birthday gift, stocking stuffer, or just show more because, this book will provide hours of fun and hilarity, if not for the whole family, then for the young comedian in your life đ . No worries about who will hear them either â these are definitely clean jokes. Be prepared to be entertained, because even if you find some of the jokes groaners, you are going to love the kick your kid(s) get out of them.

The Awesome Book of Bible Stories for Kids: What If... *Samson was your PE teacher? *David vs. Goliath was on TV? *Moses had a GPS? by Sandy Silverthorne
I loved this book. It is a wonderful way of getting kids to think about Bible Stories. It takes the Bible Story and asks a twisted question to make the reader think. At the same time it is giving the true story and where to locate it in the Bible.
I read a part of one of the stories to my mother. She reminded me of a time when I was eighteen and taught Childrenâs Church with her. We had this very age group. I had a ventriloquist puppet who told an introduction to our Bible Story. My nieces show more remember a time I was telling the David and Goliath story and âJohnnyâ called Goliath a basket ball player because of his height. The kids all knew he was a giant, yet when we talked about him being so tall he could have been the star on the basketball team they âgot itâ. I have to say that Sandy Silverthorne has come up with much better stories than I ever did. This is a book that is a must have for every family. It is one I plan on putting on my shelves at school. It is just twisted enough many kids who would not normally read it might pick it up. show less

Q: What steals your stuff while you're in the bathtub? A: A robber ducky!
What an adorable, little book! This book is filled with hilarious knock-knock jokes, funny stories, and tons of play-on words! Yes, of course there are a lots of corny jokes, but I think any kid would love them.
I even found myself giggling throughout reading it. It was especially fun to hear the groans and laughing as I told some of the jokes to my friends.
There were a few show more black-and-white drawings sprinkled through the pages. They weren't super detailed, but they were very cute!
I would definitely recommend this book for the jokester kid in your life. Warning: there are many, many jokes in this small book; so be prepared!
