I picked this book to refresh my knowledge about the basics of IIS, but ended up learning lot more than I expected. The authors have provided information in a very structured manner.

The book first explains the concept and then shows the step-by-step procedure of how to accomplish those tasks - makes it real helpful for the beginner to know the capabilities of IIS 8.0 and allows the experienced to follow the necessary steps.

Showing how to use appcmd.exe to do many of the IIS 8.0 tasks is a show more boon for most 'command-promptians'.

The chapters in the part 3 - Advanced Administration are my best take-away from this book as these chapters divulge many of the advanced topics of IIS.

Anyone who is doing web development can read this book to better his/her understanding of the entire process - from request to response. show less
