When I first saw the description of this book, I thought "Oh, boy, another WWII story". I enjoy reading about that time in history. Enjoy is certainly not a word that I would use to describe how I felt about this book. It was raw, brutal, bloody and crude. But it was OOOOHHHH soooooooo good!
I was transported to the time and place with the characters of the story. If you want to read something that is going to stay with for a long time, read this. If you are feint of heart and stomach, beware.
