Oz and Carter have been sworn enemies from childhood until their current teen years due to their families long-standing rivalry. Every time they had come into contact with each other, it was to prank each other or do something to embarrass the other. When Oz's dad tells him he needs to get close to Carter without giving a specific reason why, Oz is hesitant. Carter has an unsuspecting dominating personality and bends Oz to his will fairly quickly, even when Oz's head says no but his body show more says yes (consent given!)
Their back and forth banter and steamy moments make this story light up, but what I loved the most was the way they had conversations about mental health, especially of their friend Avery who struggled bad and had to be committed. Oz blamed himself for not making Avery a priority but Carter comes to his defense even though Avery doesn't blame him at all.
This is definitely one series that focuses on Mental Health in such a beautiful way and the conversations that take place do so, so well.

For starters, I'd like to say bravo to Addison Beck for the realistic mental health representation that we saw with Avery. I, myself, do not have struggles with mental health but I liked that we were given a view of his day to day life to try and manage it.
Sebastian gets assigned to keep Avery in line, but they are both soon falling for each other and become obsessed (but not to the point of crazy) Their intimacy and romantic moments were well-placed and kept the story flowing.

Daniel and Magnus have been life-long friends since they were babies. They've always been drawn to one another, even though it's more for Daniel since he has been in love with Magnus from a young age. Fast forward to their high school years when both sets of parents send them to boarding school to set their future plans in order.
Daniel feels lonely that he is separated from Magnus throughout the years because they have separate classes and live in different residence halls. They see each show more other outside of class and at lunch, until Magnus quickly starts dating/hooking up with different people. All of their friends are aware of how Daniel feels about Magnus, except for Magnus of course.
Flash-forward to a party where Magnus finds out that Daniel is a virgin and surprises him by teaching him all things s3x. Daniel knows this could end up in disaster but still wants to be close to Magnus anyway.
For being a debut story by this author, it was very well-written and the pace is fast but you can easily follow along. Can't wait to read Avery's book next!.
