Gary Kent is a stuntman who was mainly in B movies, biker films, and such. In fact, Other than Peter O'Toole's Stuntman, I never heard of a single film he mentioned in the entire book which made reading the book pretty tedious. Additionally, every name Kent dropped, he had to list a bunch of the persons credits afterward making for even more tedious reading. You certainly don't need to list the credits of Oscar winner Lee Marvin and for someone like Henry Jaglom, it didn't matter since the show more credits had no meaning. Perhaps an editor could have pared some of this down. I'm sure Kent was a good stuntman. However, I have to disagree with many of the things in his book. He couldn't wait for films to be more realistic with more sex and more bad language. To me, that is what has ruined films and I guess why I spend my time watching films made prior to 1955 or so. He had to bash The Sound Of Music which I find to be an uplifting film as well as Shirley Temple who was only a child following her mother's and a director's orders. I also have to disagree with Kent's methods when he was asked to stage an LSD scene. Of course, prior to that he had to take LSD and experience it. Come on, it's called acting. Did he have to murder someone before doing those scenes? I'm sure for folks who like these kinds of films, this is a great book but for me, it was a waste of time. show less
