Yes! YES!! This is everything I want in the perfect contemporary romance/summer read for a day. Cute relatable couple, humor interspersed, great secondary characters and no angst!

Did you read that no angst? Is there an obstacle for the couple to overcome? Yes. However *gasp* they handle everything like --- wait for it --- ADULTS!! I mean they communicate. I know. I know. No, I didn't hit my head and imagine this story. But, lest you are confused by my review - I recommend you BUY this book. show more

Abi and Cade were everything I love. Strong, open and ready with open hearts for the possibility of more. and Hot? Did I mention when the doors close they are hot? Why, yes. Yes they are. If you are familiar with BJ Harvey's series, you'll be delighted to know all your favorite characters return and you get to meet some awesome new secondary characters. The story is fluid and fun. Just the best read to park yourself in a comfy chair and get lost in.

Can it standalone if you've not read the series? Yes, Ms Harvey gives you a complete couple story with introductions to the previous characters without ever feeling lost. Go buy this book and enjoy! 5 out of 5 stars.

I just looved being able to binge read about all the Cook brothers, you get loads of laughs, meet awesome characters, get to know the Cook family along with their friends and lovers and see the highs and lows as each brother finds the loves of their life. In this box set you get:
Work in Progress - Jamie and April are the perfect match and the way the meet is hilarious, then there is Aprils son Axel and her mother in-law Betty and how the dynamic between them all. I loved not only seeing show more April make Jamie work for their relationship but also getting to know everyone.

Work Violation - Ronnie and Jax challenge each other and after avoiding each other for so long when they finally get together, wow there are so many sparks it's a fire hazard. Unfortunately the timing makes things a bit complicated as Jax is now her Professor so they need to cross their t's and dot their i's, but you can't account for everything and also learning about Ronnie's past as well as meeting her parents ... ugh do they really deserve the name parents?!

Working Back - I got a little torn at the beginning of this one with how Faith waltzed in and what she said to Bryant, and then he is counter offer I was like "what the hell?!?!" Faith and Bryant have undeniable attraction and you want them to get back together, however I was so wary of Bryant getting hurt again (cause I am team Cook all the way no matter what lol). These two do truly love each other so seeing them trying to work through coming back together was great.

Hard Work - Cohen and Skye, now this is a fun read, you know the whole if I say it enough I will believe it ..yeah this is these two who think they can keep it casual no deep feelings and no way will they fall in love. They aren't fooling anyone especially those around them and the banter and quick wit between them has you laughing and rolling your eyes while you see them fall deeper and wait for them to finally realise what they really mean to each other.

Working For It - Ezra and Gillian sure do know how to announce she is pregnant and that just the start of things, they have done everything backwards and now Ezra realises he wants more than just a regular hook up with Gilly and it's not just because she is carrying his child. The fact you don't have to have read the other books in the series is great but it does also make you want to read them and meet all the Cook brothers! This is a great read that gives you plenty of laughs as Gilly and Ezra go through plenty of awkward moments, hormonal changes, learning to take a chance, falling in love and seeing what having amazing and funny friends and family can be like.

Working It Out: Oh how I floved this bonus, I loved Marcy and Rick from the get go and how full of life and love they are even after raising their hoard of kids so getting to see them one on one was an absolute treat. And then there is Axel, gosh darn it I couldn't love that kid any more if I tried!!

If you love a great rom-com read, look no further than Ms. Harvey's Game Series. As luck will have it, this novel definitely can stand alone. I recommend book 1 as it was funny, romantic and a perfect lazy-day-I-just-want-to-read book, but not necessary. BJ Harvey introduces you to past character's within the story so you don't feel lost. Dani and Zach's story will not disappoint.

"Hey vagina, take a picture . It'll last longer."

The novel is told in a dual POV. However, it's lines like above show more that when the readers is in Dani's head, I couldn't stop from laughing out loud. For those of us who are slightly geeky and awkward, you can relate to the character of Dani. But she isn't so awkward that she seems juvenile. This strong, smart woman is who attracts our hot firefighter, Zach. Whoa Baby!! If you love your male leads not be a manwhore but actually relationship driven, you'll definitely be in love with Zach.

This novel is a really perfect read. The story is evenly paced, never bogs down with heavy drama or angst. Keeps the reader wanting to come back for more. Can't wait for Cade and Abi! 5 out of 5 stars.

I loved the premise of the book and enjoyed the characters, however Alyssa going back and forth between Aiden and Barrett didn't sit well with me, I get she was so torn in regards to what and who she really wanted but I just felt she should have stepped back from them both as I felt she really aggravated things between Aiden and Barrett to the point of how things ended up at the house. Love triangles can be a tricky thing and while I know others will love this book, it missed the mark a show more smidge for me.
I do look forward to the next book and hope that Aiden gets to redeem himself.
