I listened to the audio version. It didn't leave me screaming in terror. But the lakes, yeah spooky enough. A fun source for those looking weird info on their curiosity of what lies beneath. Many of these lakes of course you probably did not know existed. So now you know, and may be mildly spooked in the process.

So so excellent, the selection of lakes from every corner of the globe, the eerie facts and lore of each presented in a fun and accessible way, the breathtaking and captivating illustrations, the scientific trivia boxes throughout. I'm going to buy one of these for my daughter's classroom, and recommend it to our local book store for display. 10/10 spookies.
