I wish there had been more books like this in libraries when I was a kid... not only so people of color would be able to see themselves reflected in the books available to them; but also so that white people would normalize seeing diversity on the covers of children's books. It should have been something that was a matter of course--all the colors of the rainbow should have been represented. We're getting there....
