So many world conquering aliens are shown doing so in a giant hurry. If the tech difference is big, they don't have to rush. Then, what's it like to live in the interim, as the attack is slowly gobbling up land?

How do societies react? How do people grow up and still have hope?

This isn't just sexy-time storytelling. Sure, lots of sex, but it's in the context of immense societal challenges and changes.

I hope this is as entertaining to read as it was to write. Feel show more free to comment here, I will read all the comments. And, despite massive hours spent on it, my real reward is knowing someone enjoyed it, at least a little.

As a microcosm of how cultures deal with problems that cross medical and privacy boundaries, the space station setting isolates the population in a way that makes a western town seem downright cosmopolitan.

I had fun working out the culture and environment that might realistically exist on a space station and then how that would intersect with a pandemic that turned sexy–time into a medical necessity. How would a culture that values privacy so strongly cope with show more such circumstances ?

I hope you enjoy Reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. It just kind of fell out of me, and rereading it recently I'm kind of surprised at some of the cool ideas I got to write down.

Book analyzes how people cope with radical changes in living conditions and being forced into complex love life situations but still coping with it.

Some pretty racy content but also fun descriptions of a pretty odd living location. Author obviously had fun with universe building and exactly how a shelter could be constructed, but also how people react to this kind of oddity reasonably realistic ways.

Romance content is definitely there, genuine emotions of grief and anguish and love and show more wanting and worry and happiness. show less

The concept of being a highly ethical and yet ending up in a polyamory relationship, is confusing to many Americans. I wanted to confront the issue with some romantic and caring/brave complexity.

Given the nature of the bad guys, so to speak, the ending might be surprising, but IMHO is both inevitable and hopeful.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I had writing it.
