For anyone who wants to learn to draw, this book is fantastic. It is geared toward learning to draw the human figure, but the techniques one learns from this book are applicable to drawing anything - from learning to view objects as one basic "shape" to how to capture sunlight and shadow cast across an object/figure. It has chapters on form and solidity (including a brief introduction to anatomy), dynamics, tension and relaxation, perspective, color, lighting, and more. This book is show more unusually thorough for a how-to-draw book, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. show less
