An Introduction to Forensic Linguistics by Malcolm Coulthard

An introduction to how language is used by the police, lawyers and witness and examples on how linguistics is used to examine written and spoken evidence. I find the text uneven with some parts too academic while other parts are quite exciting especially the parts where Coulthard details how linguistics is - in Sherlock Holmes-like manner - used to solve cases.
