I read a completly frivolous book today: Oh No She Didn't: The Top 100 Style Mistakes Women Make and How to Avoid Them by Clinton Kelly. (Did I just admit to reading that???) It's politically incorrect, scathing, rude & pretty d*mn funny, imo. The photos are very amusing too. I definitely had a few lol moments. Oh, and... uh, I think I need to go to my closet now & toss a couple of items.

If I were posed with the question to reread Dress Your Best or gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon i would seriously consider the latter. Dress Your Best was a 256 page book entirely about how to dress up different body types for different occasions a topic that could have easily been summed up in 2 pages. This novel takes everything terrible out of an informational book its long and tedious pages that seem to last an eternity except with none of the benefit of actually learning anything show more useful. It was by far the worst book I have ever layed my eyes on. It had all the qualities I hate in books including being unnecessarily long,bland, extremely repetitive and just flat out boring. All in all I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys making themselves miserable. show less

Freakin' good fun!! I loved this book and laughed out loud throughout. The appeal of this book is more in the hilarious writing than in the actual content, though it is loaded with helpful advice on a wide variety of topics, from dressing to entertaining to decorating to etiquette and correct speech. It's chock-full of gorgeous color photos and contains numerous recipes (every one with a photo) that actually look do-able. The photos of actual (crazy) thank-you notes received by Kelly alone show more were worth the price of the book. Note to visitors to my house: I will be taking Clinton's advice and precariously placing marbles on my medicine cabinet shelves--just in case you're feeling nosy! show less
