I found this book to be very informative. While the book is geared towards young children; adults will need to help the younger children read this book due to the use of medical terminology. I have never really thought or examined that much about the inter working of an ear. Taking a closer look into how all the parts of an ear work together to allow sound to enter was interesting. So, if one part of the ear is infected with an ear infection or damaged, it can affect the whole ear. Thus, the show more reason sometimes you can't hear. show less
I found this book to be very informative. While the book is geared towards young children; adults will need to help the younger children read this book due to the use of medical terminology. This book is the largest out of the six books I have read in this series of books. Yet, I understand why as it is harder to explain traumatic brain injury aka TBI.

However, this book is probably one of the most appropriate ones for present times. Just within the last several years have athletes show more recognized and spoken out about TBI and concussions. I think this book is important for young children to read; especially if they are into sports. show less
This is a great STEM focused book, that explains how emotions work in the brain. The story is short, and includes scientific terms (with a pronunciation guide). It’s a great way to introduce kids to part of how the brain works, including emotions, how emotions can effect memories, and vice versa, as well as how medicine can effect emotions. The drawings went along with the story, and there were some that illustrated the cells and parts of the brain involved in emotions, which I liked. If show more you’re looking for a book to explain how emotions work, then you’ll want to grab this to read with your kids. show less

In regards, to this book, I think it is a really good one for young readers to read. I did learn a lot about CF myself reading this book. I have heard of it but was not very familiar with what CF really was. Not only if they know someone who has cystic fibrosis (CF) but to show young children that show more physical ailments are not scary. show less
