The author says writing this book is the hardest thing she's ever done and I can imagine it would be. Very well written and at times so very hard to read.

I'm definitely going to have to read something lighter after finishing this one. Unless you've known someone with violent tendencies, it's hard to believe that people can behave like that and go on for so long without getting caught. Those poor kids growing up like that.

Surprisingly well written for a non-writer.
