Little cowboy fans view one familiar scene after the next and are invited to enjoy the calming atmosphere the entire way through.

There are two books which are a bit like partners, one for cowboys and one for cowgirls. So, both sides can have their fun. The cowboy book starts with hats and boots and, leads on with each page touching moments young cowboys will recognize and dream of. It goes through animals, weather, natural scenes, family, and more. From star-filled skies to colorful sunsets show more on the horizons, the book settles more and more into calming vibe until the last good night hits.

Each page offers a short, poetic phrase, which sticks directly to the illustration, making it great for more impatient (or tired) listeners. It flows from one moment to the next and creates a gentle atmosphere to lead to the good night, while hitting all of those things which make the cowboy life so inviting.

The illustrations are done with care and carry a more personal touch. The grainier texture gives it a soft appearance with slightly fuzzier lines, which invite to dreams. These invite listeners to gaze at them later on their own.

This not-quite-6"-square book is chock-full of appealing cat pictures with cute little sayings, humorous and helpful, to accompany each photograph. I got the book for my grandaughter Sarah's birthday, but I had to enjoy it first myself. I read it back-to-back with "Bad Cat" and this one is better!
Pleasant coffee table-style book with animal photographs and one-liners about "life lessons" on Healthy Living, Getting Along with Others, Self-Esteem, Self-Improvement and Everyday Living. Example: "Stay quietly focuse on the task at hand" graces the page with a cat stealthily climbing through a tree to something seen out of camera shot.
