The Sad Story of Emmeline Burns is a free visual novel by Ebi-Hime. And if you're looking for wholesome yuri mixed with tragedy, Ebi-Hime delivers in this free visual novel. It's a story with beautiful art, about a girl from the modern day venturing into a graveyard and talking to a ghost girl who relays her sad story about her life and how she died. It's a pretty short visual novel that you could read through in a day and it's a little predicatable, but overall fine. There are also aspects show more and small details about the story that could be visual novels all on their own that I wish got expanded upon, but that wasn't really the point of the story.

Do I recommend it? Yes. Not because it's the best story or best visual novel in the world (it's also linear, so no alternate endings or choose-your-own-adventure elements), but because it's a decent story and a nice introduction to Ebi-Hime's other works. It's free on Steam. You have nothing to lose from some wholesome Victorian England era yuri, a ghost girl relaying her story, and getting closure across time. show less
