A few special humans are endowed with paranormal abilities, and it is Caleb O’Hara’s gift of precognition that saves his family from certain death when the aliens attack Earth, nearly obliterating the human race. Having moved his brothers and wife to a remote cabin, they make a new home for themselves.
But the lack of female companionship sees Caleb’s brothers growing restless and frustrated, and Caleb knows that life as they know it must change if show more the family is to stay together – something that must happen if they are to live through the next challenge from the Alvian invaders.
He knows his two brothers love Jane as much as he does. But to keep the family together, he must convince them of the new path his visions have dictated they must take in order to survive, no matter their reluctance. To coexist with the coldly clinical Alvian race, the human race must learn to adapt drastically to their changed world, and the O’Haras will lead the way.
It is hard to believe that popular author Bianca D’Arc was first published only 16 months ago! With thirteen published books under her belt that encompass six separate series, she has quickly moved up the ranks of many fans’ must-buy lists, and with very good reason. Not only has Ms. D’Arc proved to be a prolific writer, but she spins yarns of the supernatural, futuristic, and fantasy with such realism that you find yourself completely immersed in her worlds, with no desire to leave.
Her newest series, Resonance Mates, is off to a running start with a fantastic futuristic tale of an apocalyptic Earth struggling to survive in Hara’s Legacy. As with her Dragon Knights saga, this story contains frequent ménage scenes, but they never feel gratuitous, as D’Arc writes them in such a way that the act makes complete sense. Indeed, she makes the reader feel that this is the only way these characters can continue on, and reader acceptance is easily grasped. I’ve often quipped that this author writes the most innocent ménage scenes I have ever seen, but it really is true. Of course, the innocence lies solely in the catalyst for the ménage, the act itself is hotter than hot and will steam the ink right off the pages of the book!
The O’Hara family is a close knit unit, dedicated to each other’s happiness and comfort in the bleak existence that they have been relegated on post-invasion Earth. As the oldest brother, Caleb leads the family, and his visions prove an invaluable asset to his role.
Caleb’s wife, Jane, is the heart of the family, and her empathic powers aid her in assuring the emotional well-being of her men. Having grown up with the three brothers, she has loved them all for many years, and they in turn have loved her.
Justin is the middle brother, and his destiny proves important to the survival of the O’Hara family. His bad boy persona belies the man inside that relishes the concept of family and craves something more in his life. The telekinetic abilities he was born with serve a warrior like him well, but Justin is quick to recognize that there is a time to fight and a time to reason.
The youngest brother, Mick, is the gentlest and the most reserved. As a veterinarian before the invasion, he quickly adapted his medical skills to serve as family doctor, a task which his powerful telepathy assists with time and again.
There is something to love about each of the O’Hara brothers, and it is easy to see why Jane is so enamored of them all. Any woman would be lucky to find her own O’Hara man, much less capture the hearts of all three.
In this reviewer’s opinion, Bianca D’Arc has hit another one out of the ball park with the release of Resonance Mates, Book 1: Hara’s Legacy. Fans will be both overjoyed and somewhat disappointed to learn that this saga will culminate in the fifth book. On one hand, I’m excited that we will learn the fate of these enchanting characters so soon, but I know that I will be disappointed when the series is complete. With only one book currently published, I find myself fervently hoping that there will be opportunity for D’Arc to spin a sub-series out of this one before it is all over.
If you love a great futuristic science fiction tale with plenty of sensual romance and steamy ménage scenes, you will not want to miss Hara’s Legacy!!

DO NOT read this book.
Bravo Bianca – Bravo Samhain Publishing, I fell for your ploy. Browsing through Amazon, I found a copy of Hara’s Legacy and was sucked into the summary. I wish I hadn’t been though. This book was trying to be a sci-fi cock tease and the only of these this world needs are on Joss Whedon’s Firefly. On its own merit, it was like an inexperienced lot lizard, thinking a bunch of truckers running a train on her is foreplay and showing her boobs is worth a ride out of show more salt lake city…
Hara’s Legacy grabbed my attention, promising a plot-line that is right up my alley. On near future earth, aliens have decided to drop in and make themselves home. In order to makes the planet safe for them, they bombarded the planet with Crystalline seeds which vibrate and re-tune the planet to the benefit of their biology, and detriment of human. Some humans are able to survive the planetary reboot.
Those humans who survive often have levels of dormant and active psychic abilities. This novel centers on 3 brothers who have inklings of the alien resettlement and move to the boonies for survival. One brother has a wife, who they have all known since she was a child, so it was apparent from the beginning what part of the story would focus on.
And that is the end of the plot-line. The majority of this book is descriptions of circumcised cocks, vagina’s, clits, sexual positions, squishing noises, wet spots, alien sperm donors, and three brothers humping the same woman repeatedly.
This is an estimate, but out of 256 pages, I would guesstimate that only 60 pages of this book actually mattered.
Marketed as a Futuristic Sci-Fi and “Red Hot”, I assumed it would be more Sci-Fi with some standard adult themes peppered in. No biggie, I have read my share of steamy scenes. Heck, the description of the book from the publisher (here’s the ploy)deftly avoided the nature of the book, hinting at the contents and simply advising “Warning: this title contains explicit sex and ménage à quatre”. It caught my attention and I thought it was sweet to have a scene in the book that warranted forewarning..
Yeah… not sure if a prophetic-seer-fucking-an-empath,-who-is-double-entried-by-a-brother-who-is-psychic,-while-she-sucks-the-cock-of-a-third-brother-who-is-a-telepath-AND-A-Telekinetic for chapter after chapter is considered Sci-Fi by any stretch of the imagination. The uncomfortably long fuck-fest with one brother-spying-on-an-alien-who-wants-a-baby-and-fucks-for-two-days-straight-while-his-brother-psychically-listens-in-taking-notes chapters were unbearable.
The Sci-Fi is limited, the sex is overly saturated, far too detailed, and have the feeling of being written by someone who wishes they were an erotic writer, but never bothered to stop masturbating long enough to find an honest proofreader.
I had actually written a whole review prior to this, but scrapped it all as it was entirely too nice. Here is the best advice I can give, “Unless this book gets completely rewritten to focus more on the plot and less on the male curvature needed to hit a g-spot, don’t bother with it.” show less

I am so enjoying this series. I really love the characters. Each book gets better and better. You will soon find yourself engrossed within this series.
And I'm not saying that just because I love bear shifters.
I do love bear shifters but loving them isn't good enough. I also need a well written story to go along with my sexy bear and I found that in D'Arc's Grizzly Cove series.
Even though the stories are novella length you won't feel like you're missing something. D'Arc does a wonderful show more job of giving you a full story.
I really like Drew. He's so laid back, or at least he is on the surface. There's more to him than meets the eye. And I'm not talking about the fact that he changes into a bear.
You will also like Jetty, she's careful around Drew and his people but soon finds she likes to be around them. Now that the mer folk are in Grizzly Cove I can't wait to see where the story line goes.

Bianca D'Arc continues the 'Resonance Mates' series with "Davin's Quest". This series is futuristic erotica about Earth after an attack by aliens who have genetically bred out their emotions. The first book was told from the point of view of some of the surviving humans and now we get a closer look at one of the aliens themselves.
Davin is an Alvian throwback...he can still feel emotion. If it wasn't for his incredible skill working with crystals, he would have been put to death by the show more unfeeling Alvian Council long ago. Of course, they still watch him closely, waiting for him to go insane as most throwbacks do. Then he hears of half-breed survivors on Earth...offspring of the ancient Alvians who came to explore this planet. He soon becomes fascinated with these half-breeds...and hopeful. Long ago, when Alvians still had feelings, there was one perfect match for each male--a Resonance mate. But with the loss of feelings, the percentage of Resonance matings dropped. Davin is sure if he can just find one of these mates, it can keep him from going insane and since the survivors of the initial attack all seem to be half-breeds, maybe he can find a mate among them. Of course, even if he does, he'll be hard pressed to keep them both alive!
Excellent continuation of the story begun with "Hara's Legacy". The expanding story of the conquering aliens and the struggle of the humans who survived kept me flipping pages as fast as I could read. If you enjoy sizzling menage a trois, science fiction, and fantasy...you owe it to yourself to check out this series. D'Arc manages to make the circumstances and reactions of both sides seem realistic to me and I now I'm just hungry for the next book. show less
