Lisa Gray could scribble her grocery list on a napkin, and I’d be first in line, highlighter in hand. “To Die For” throws you straight into LA’s glitzy real estate circus, where rich people misbehave badly, but with style.
A Malibu beach house with a one-million-dollar commission dangling like bait, and five real estate agents who want it way too badly. Andi Hart, our main girl, knows every trick in the book, but her coworkers are hiding secrets that could turn this show more cutthroat competition into a full-on survival game.
What would you do for a million-dollar commission? I’d probably do less than these maniacs, but more than I’d ever admit. 😉
Things get exciting when a body is found during the open house, instantly turning the showing into a crime scene. Now that’s a showing you won’t forget.
I’ve read a few real estate thrillers lately, but this one still stands out. It’s an older release, yet it feels fresh and wildly entertaining. Andi’s scrappy and determined. Have you read it? Spill your thoughts—I need to know what you thought. show less

Something sinister is happening along the deserted Twentynine Palms Highway, a remote road in the desert outside of Los Angeles. Jessica, again working as a P.I., this time for Matt Connor, is back in the Los Angeles area and is hired to find a missing young woman. She quickly suspects more women have disappeared in the same uninhabited area but there's nothing to tie their disappearances together until Jessica discovers a thirty-year-old murder that started it all. Trying to juggle her show more investigation and her feelings for her boss, this third installment of the Jessica Shaw series is a page-turner that doesn't let up until the "feel good" ending. I love this character. Jessica is rough around the edges but has a soft heart and a strict moral code to do the right thing. I've already ordered the fourth book :). I can't wait to see what she does next. show less
I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley.
In 2002-4 Madison James appears in three movies, but then drops out of sight and reverts to waitressing and going to auditions. Nearly 20 years later she goes missing and her purse is found beside a trail. This is told from the perspectives of Sarah the missing persons detective in the present day, and Madison back in 2002-4.
I found this a page turner and the police procedural sections were excellent. The Madison sections were show more less compelling to me, but then, I don't understand why anyone would want to work in Hollywood. This was good on what people are willing to do to be famous, and the author gradually revealed Madison's full character - she was not who I thought she was at the beginning.
