Rachel Ekstrom Courage

I really really wanted to enjoy this one more. It seemed like it was going to be really amazing. However, it just didn't feel like it went anywhere. It would have a few moments that would build some good suspense elements, but they wouldn't go anywhere at all. The book moreso adopted this slow burn suspense dynamic. It also had a weird turn that involved legends and didn't really fit the book. I ultimately felt like it was a predictable resolution to the mystery dynamic. However, the book show more didn't really feel resolved to me. It was just okay. It had so much potential that it didn't fully take advantage of. I also have to say the friendship element was more just our main character being manipulated to act differently by three other girls. show less
