This book is a beautiful travel journal oriented around food. The photos and text describing the different regions of Brazil are fascinating. The recipes themselves are wonderful, but the ingredients are hard to find (in the U.S.). We had a dinner party themed around this book and the dishes were tasty and, for hte most part, simple and inexpensive. We did have to drive to San Francisco to a Brazilian grocery though. This would make a great special occaison book, or even a coffee table book. show more Good for perusing, even if you don't use any of the recipes. show less
