We get to know more about Paige who is Rae's cousin and also a fire demon who has been ridding the town of wayward Vampires since Rae left to join the SIA only that's about to get her in trouble. Nate Wilder decides Paige is going to help him whether she likes it or not, the way she uses her demon fire intrigues him but thats not all and the sexual tension between the 2 becomes combustible at times! I get how Paige is torn to beginning with but you also see her grow more in her understanding show more of life and then she becomes pretty kick arse and Nate just seems to get hotter with his times of vulnerability and strength. This kept me hooked from the beginning due to the fantastic characters, continuous world building and wanting to know what else fire demons can do that others cant! show less

OH MY STARS, BUT I LOVED THIS BOOK !! I was so captivated that the book was over before I wanted it to be! I loved the foul mouth and gutsy Georgia the moment we "met" and she didn't disappoint me at all! Forced to take care of her little sister when she was just twenty when both of her parents died, the two of then took the money from their parent's death to open a shop in Redmeadow and little town where humans and paranormals mingled. Then the famous book author, Zak Goodwin arrives and show more bought the place just down the street from her farm. Be ready for some great twists and secrets that will leave you slack jawed along with some great sizzling moments between Harper and Detective Jackson as well as vulnerability in people we least expect it from.
